Or... Where the hell did all the time go?
I just noticed this evening that my last actual "update" to the site, which consisted of only a small note on the main
page, was from all the way back in November. Whoops.
I haven't abandoned the site completely, folks. However, as this site is primarily "art-based," it usually helps to have
something to contribute. In all honesty, I have nothing art-wise to show for this year so far, primarily because my
focus has been entirely on my writing (if not on mundane issues). I look at it this way: I *know* my art is mediocre at
best, and it's really just a silly diversion. My writing, on the other hand, has promise and the dream of getting published
is, for me, a much more worthwhile pursuit. When I actually have some new art to show for my free time, I'll post it
here. I'm not sure when that will happen. I'm not going to post my writing online for obvious reasons.
I haven't really been maintaining the same sort of presence on the Internet this past year. I think I've become sort of
"burnt out" on the Internet; I'm just not as entertained by it as I used to be. In fact, my main computer at home--the
one I use for writing and art--isn't hooked up to the 'net at all. I'm beginning to look at the 'net as one gigantic
distraction. I go online once in a blue moon, but my e-mail box is always full of spam and the forums are (generally)
packed with morons and pricks, and many of my favorite web comics have either fallen by the wayside or have lost
their charm (sound familiar?). I'm not a MMORPG junkie or chat-addict, either, so I've got little reason to sign in
day-to-day. Sorry, but I still find the outside world far more fascinating.
I don't mean to sound so crass. Really. Did I mention that I haven't had any alcohol at all for entire year now? That
might account for my pleasant disposition. I've recently had to also completely drop caffeine out of my daily routine.
I'm still adjusting to that one, and poorly. That might account for my current lack of productivity in *everything.*
Anyway, what I'm getting at here is that I'm shutting my website down or anything. You just might now see much
within the next few months at least. I haven't given up the comic either, but I need the urge to draw before I can add
new pages. As a said, though-- right now, my writing is my priority. If there happen to be any updates in the
meantime, I'll send an e-mail out to the folks on my mailing list.
